I am sharing a few photos I took at soccer last night. The team played VERY well. The field was so soggy and it was a mess. im sure the ball was so wet it was hard to get a foot on. They won! 2 out of three games so far they won! Quite a contrast rom last season! Only bad thing is so fr 2 out of three games they also have not had snacks!!! hahaha just realized the 2 games they won no snacks were brought!!! i thought food was the way to the mans heart??? Maybe no food=work harder??NAH!!! Nick and Joe both really held their own and Nick even got a few compliments from the coach!! I could tell he was happy even though his coolness wouldnt let him show it!! The bad news though is the poor boy got a soccer ball hit right to the nose. He said he looked down and saw a pool of his blood on the ground......soon as Molly heard there was a player with a bloody nose she started freaking out a bit...then heard it was Nick so she started her little gagging, nasty face thing kind of funny but I was more worried about Nick! Thankfully no bruising or swelling so im concerned it's broken....but man those soccer balls really need to stop going for Nicks head!!!!

what a weekend!!
Well yesterday was just lovely! Molly and I were invited to join some friends at the zoo. So we went. The weather forecast was 76 and sunny, and breezy. Cool! We went to Target first thing in the morning and on a spur of the moment I decided to pick up a pair of denim capris in a size smaller then I usually wear. Came home and tried them on and they fit!!! Woohoo!!! Yay me. I paired it with a black tshirt. When we got to the zoo Mollys friend had brought a wagon and another 4 year old. Anyways, all the kids were very well behaved we walked over 5 miles total. Towards the end of the time all 3 kids decided to be in the wagon so me and the other adult took turns pulling them....oh my goodness!!!! Pulling 3 four year olds from the back of the zoo to the front in blazing hot sun was sure some tough work!!! My car said it was 88 on the way home!!!! I got home around 3:30 and I still had to make a strawberry cheesecake trifle to take to the boy scout court of honor!! Well technically I did not HAVE to but I had planned on it!! I also wanted to shower(freshen up after the zoo) and we had to leave by 5:30. I needed to run to the store to get the pound cake and strawberries. I was a bit rushed but everything turned out great!!
Today Molly went to a birthday party she was invited to! It was just around the block so we walked(Molly rode her bike). Well about 1 hour into the party the storm started brewing!! They got the umbrellas taken down and food and chairs taken in and got the kids downstairs(more room) and it started storming!! We had to be driven home!
The boys also had 1 outdoor soccer game and Paul said they played REALLY well and won 5 to nothing!! Nick also had an indoor soccer gam eas well. They lost that one. One more game tomorrow too. So tonight we are just relaxing!!!!

Thoughtfulness to others
I like many other moms and dads question if I'm raising the kids right, are they learning what I'm trying to teach them? Do they hear me? Are they just ignoring me? Then they will go and do something that makes me think "wow that's really something" They do listen!
Nick is my 14 year old. He is a "normal" teenager for sure. All knowing and all attitude.....at least at our house. Well Tuesday he came home from school and as part of his homework he could not speak...I tell ya I wanna hug that teacher hahaha. Anyways we were trying to coomunicate with each other and he settled in to doing whatever he wanted to occupy himself then he comes over and hands me a note on the paper he was using to get messages across to me without speaking. Turns out his teacher for swim class had a heart attack on friday. He wanted to buy him a card. Seriously!! What teen would want to do that??? I'll tell you....a really good teen that's who!! I was extremly proud of him for wanting to do that!! So he picked it out, signed it, wrote in it, we sealed it and put a stamp on it and he took it to the office and asked them to address it and put it in the mail, they we more then pleased to do it for him!!!

This blogger thing is pretty cool
So this morning I decided to waste a little time before Molly woke up and I used the "next blog" tab at the to of the page and scrolled through other peoples blogs to see if I stumbled across anything cool. Of course, literally, the next 10 blogs were in foreign languages so they may have been cool but I would have had no way of telling. But I did stumble across a pretty cool blog http://sherbetblossom.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html (sorry I haven't learned how to imbed a link on here yet...better work on that) and she is having a Yoplait giveaway that looks pretty darn cool!! So I entered it! Never know what cool things you can find on the internet!

What to write?
We had a very beautiful day today. Molly and I took a very nice walk this morning with our friends and a little inside playdate. We spent lots of time outside and have some sunshined skinned to prove it! I am feeling a bit abandoned hahaha!! The boys all took off to go to Wright Patterson Air Force base for scouts. They get to tour the museum there tomorrow. They were very excited! My mom and dad also left today though! They went to go see my brother and his family down in South Dakota! So it's just Molly,me and hubbies business phone. needless to say we will just be hanging around the house and enjoying the weather!!

"Friends do not have dollars"
That is the lesson Molly learned the other day at school. We were just chatting this evening while I was doing the after dinner cleaning of the kitchen. She told me that her and her friend needed to be seperated during snack time. Of course she then just clams up so I have to drag the reason out of her. Apparently her friend was asking Molly for a dollar and she was getting upset that Molly did not have a dollar to give her. So they told them "Friends do not have dollars" hahaha!!! To funny!! I said "well why did friend want the dollar" Molly informed it was so she could buy her own things!

April is here!
Where has the time gone?? I see I haven't posted anything in quite awhile. Bad Me!
Lets see, I was lucky enough to have been chosen to participate in a Betty Crocker advisory panel. it went for three weeks. 3000 people applied and they picked 50!!! It ended to quick but hopefully I can have more opportunities like that one! I won an official Betty Crocker Red Spoon so Molly and I have been using that when we make our cakes and brownies! I also won something the other day but I dont know what it is yet and we also get rewarded thru an Amazon Gift code or something! YAY!!
This week at church is MCREST, it stands for Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team or something like that! Basically our church is hosting homeless people, familes for a week. Today we are making two cakes to donate nd im also taking 2 pounds of shredded mozzarella cheese they'll be using for part of a meal. Monday i'm helping my mom and a few other people in the kitchen preparing lunches for the next day. hen Wednesday Mlly and Joe and the rest of the Kids Club will be passing out Easter Goodie bags they made up last week. i'll help Molly so she's not so nervous around all the new faces. tehn the boys will be performing with the handbell group with the rest who joined up. Molly is to young for that!
Last night Joe earned his Citizen in the World merit badge and Nick earned his Citizen in the Nation merit badge and he's almost done with the Cit in the World one..only two more requirments to do for it. Today Nick is at D-Bar-A with a few other scouts finishing up his Archery Merit Badge. Paul went up with them too.
Other then that not much going on besides spring soccer starting so practices are starting up plus finishing up the indoor soccer season!!
