Preschool graduate!

Well, Molly is off to a great start!! She graduated from preschool on Wednesday. She is now ready for Kindergarten! Also, Wednesday morning before the graduation party at school she actually had an evaluation for kindergarten at the elementary school! She was very anxious about it but she did just fine, shed just a few tears!! Heres some pictures from the graduation. Even a broken wrist couldnt keep her off the bouncy inflatables they had!!

Fixing up of broken things!!

My goodness our household is full of things to be fixed!!! The first thing needing to be fixed was Mollys broken wrist! happy Mothers'd Day mommy!! Please take me to the hospital!! Well at least she was a model patient!! She was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good there!!! I could not have asked for a more patient, strong, brave, baby girl with a broken bone!
Second thing needing fixed was our sprinkler system in the back yard!! We got an estimate we were very pleased with and they came out and did the work Tuesday. Looks great I just need for us to test them because one area seems very soggy, now I dont claim to know a thing but to me it does not seem "normal"
Now all that we need to do is get our deck, gazebo, and pool power washed and stained before thye open the pool on the 11th or 12th of June!!

so much energy!!

Wow! I thought it was going to be a very rough day! Molly was up at 6:30 am as Nick was just leaving for school! By 8 am she was ready for a walk! Well any other day would have been great but today was my first day trying out a Zumba class! I picked up my friend Michelle and we headed to the rec center. We got there just in time instead of early like i had intended and we took the only spaces in the back of the class. We had a little hard time hearing the instructor and seeing her at times as well. Apparently she saw us because my friend went up and talked to her after the class about something and she said we looked like we were having a lot of fun and saw us laughing....well the laughing part came in because ummmm in Zumba you kind of shake absolutly everything you got!!! So my friend made a comment and I replied and she busted out laughing! Anyways, The class leaves you very sweaty and needing water. I got home and Paul had started setting up the shed we are putting together, we worked on that, went to lunch because I actually had not eaten any breakfast (we split a sandwich at denny's) then we went and got Nick a new bike at Toy's R Us and then I wanted to run to target. Just got tons done and I never even got tired!!! I was amazed at myself actually lol!!! I heard that the earlier you exercise you reap the results over a longer period of the day! Cool!! Think i'll enjoy my Fridays!!

Soccer

I am sharing a few photos I took at soccer last night. The team played VERY well. The field was so soggy and it was a mess. im sure the ball was so wet it was hard to get a foot on. They won! 2 out of three games so far they won! Quite a contrast rom last season! Only bad thing is so fr 2 out of three games they also have not had snacks!!! hahaha just realized the 2 games they won no snacks were brought!!! i thought food was the way to the mans heart??? Maybe no food=work harder??NAH!!! Nick and Joe both really held their own and Nick even got a few compliments from the coach!! I could tell he was happy even though his coolness wouldnt let him show it!! The bad news though is the poor boy got a soccer ball hit right to the nose. He said he looked down and saw a pool of his blood on the ground......soon as Molly heard there was a player with a bloody nose she started freaking out a bit...then heard it was Nick so she started her little gagging, nasty face thing kind of funny but I was more worried about Nick! Thankfully no bruising or swelling so im concerned it's broken....but man those soccer balls really need to stop going for Nicks head!!!!

what a weekend!!

Well yesterday was just lovely! Molly and I were invited to join some friends at the zoo. So we went. The weather forecast was 76 and sunny, and breezy. Cool! We went to Target first thing in the morning and on a spur of the moment I decided to pick up a pair of denim capris in a size smaller then I usually wear. Came home and tried them on and they fit!!! Woohoo!!! Yay me. I paired it with a black tshirt. When we got to the zoo Mollys friend had brought a wagon and another 4 year old. Anyways, all the kids were very well behaved we walked over 5 miles total. Towards the end of the time all 3 kids decided to be in the wagon so me and the other adult took turns pulling them....oh my goodness!!!! Pulling 3 four year olds from the back of the zoo to the front in blazing hot sun was sure some tough work!!! My car said it was 88 on the way home!!!! I got home around 3:30 and I still had to make a strawberry cheesecake trifle to take to the boy scout court of honor!! Well technically I did not HAVE to but I had planned on it!! I also wanted to shower(freshen up after the zoo) and we had to leave by 5:30. I needed to run to the store to get the pound cake and strawberries. I was a bit rushed but everything turned out great!!
Today Molly went to a birthday party she was invited to! It was just around the block so we walked(Molly rode her bike). Well about 1 hour into the party the storm started brewing!! They got the umbrellas taken down and food and chairs taken in and got the kids downstairs(more room) and it started storming!! We had to be driven home!
The boys also had 1 outdoor soccer game and Paul said they played REALLY well and won 5 to nothing!! Nick also had an indoor soccer gam eas well. They lost that one. One more game tomorrow too. So tonight we are just relaxing!!!!

Thoughtfulness to others

I like many other moms and dads question if I'm raising the kids right, are they learning what I'm trying to teach them? Do they hear me? Are they just ignoring me? Then they will go and do something that makes me think "wow that's really something" They do listen!
Nick is my 14 year old. He is a "normal" teenager for sure. All knowing and all attitude.....at least at our house. Well Tuesday he came home from school and as part of his homework he could not speak...I tell ya I wanna hug that teacher hahaha. Anyways we were trying to coomunicate with each other and he settled in to doing whatever he wanted to occupy himself then he comes over and hands me a note on the paper he was using to get messages across to me without speaking. Turns out his teacher for swim class had a heart attack on friday. He wanted to buy him a card. Seriously!! What teen would want to do that??? I'll tell you....a really good teen that's who!! I was extremly proud of him for wanting to do that!! So he picked it out, signed it, wrote in it, we sealed it and put a stamp on it and he took it to the office and asked them to address it and put it in the mail, they we more then pleased to do it for him!!!
